On September 2, 1998, the crash of Swissair Flight 111 off the coast of Halifax changed many people’s lives forever. “111 – Echoes from Halifax” does not recount the disaster itself—rather, it explores its aftermath. The film follows people in different countries whose fates are intertwined by the accident. Family members struggle to find certainty about their loved ones, rescuers try to offer comfort, and the residents of the Canadian coast are confronted with the traces of the tragedy. As time passes and questions remain unanswered, the film shows how grief brings people together, changes relationships, and gives rise to new perspectives.
Independent market leader Ascot Elite Entertainment and DCM set the course for a joint future.
In preparation for a smooth handover of the family-run company Ascot Elite Entertainment, its previous owners Karin G. Dietrich, Ralph S. Dietrich and Stephan Giger approached DCM. These three have long enjoyed cordial relations with DCM’s four founding partners Dario Suter, Christoph Daniel, Marc Schmidheiny and Joel Brandeis as well as with Managing Director Stephanie Candinas, despite the two companies operating as competitors. They are now transferring 100% ownership of their 23-employee company to DCM with ePect from 19 March 2026.
