Twenty years after the Trojan War, Odysseus washes ashore on Ithaca, exhausted and unrecognized as a beggar. The land lies desolate; Penelope is besieged in her own home by unscrupulous suitors who want a new king; and Telemachus, who grew up without a father, is in danger. Odysseus — scarred by war, weary, and changed — must confront his past to win back his family and love.
