Voice of my People

Islam Alijaj has a physical disability and a severe speech impairment. Despite a hopeless position on his party's electoral list, he miraculously managed to get elected to the Zurich City Council over a year ago. Now, the same story is repeating itself. This time, however, the goal is much bigger. He is running for the Swiss National Council. Once again from an unpromising position. And once again, he and the numerous people supporting his campaign achieve the seemingly impossible.
