Seven For Valhalla

England, 9th century. When Vikings under the cruel Thorfinn raid a monastery, his son Hallvard and six of his companions try to prevent a massacre. But Thorfinn shows no mercy: he leaves the rebels half-dead to die. Soon, he returns to capture the inhabitants of the nearby village of Barndyke as lucrative slaves. In their desperation, the villagers make a pact with Hallvard and his men: they spare the Norsemen’s lives, but the Norsemen must defend the village against Thorfinn.

Vikings and English fighting side by side — something never seen before on British soil. Hallvard knows that only courage and cunning can overcome the overwhelming force. As time mercilessly runs out, the Norsemen train the villagers in weapon handling, build defenses, and set traps.

However, deep rifts form between the Christian villagers and their pagan allies. But when Thorfinn finally arrives, the unlikely alliance stands united and deals the surprised attacker a first defeat. The defenders’ joy is short-lived — a dragon ship brings reinforcements in the form of Thorfinn’s brother, a feared Jomsviking.
