Downhill Skiers races to number 1 in the Swiss cinema charts at full speed!

Almost 18,000 enthusiastic skiing fans saw DOWNHILL SKIERS on the big screen after the first weekend. This means that the sports documentary co-produced by Ascot Elite Entertainment, which followed the best downhill skiers around Marco Odermatt during the last season, has climbed to number 1 in the Swiss cinema charts. But Marco Odermatt wasn't just unbeatable at the cinema: the Buochs native put his competition in their place at the start of the new World Cup season, winning the first race in Sölden.

Co-producer Roger Kaufmann is extremely pleased: "I am delighted that we have reached such a wide Swiss audience with DOWNHILL SKIERS. Its success shows that Switzerland is a proud skiing nation. But the film is also for those who are not into skiing, as it shows the people behind the sport, how they deal with the pressure, the emotions and the risks, and what it takes to always push themselves to the limit."

It is gratifying to see how Swiss films are currently performing in cinemas, whether it be STILLER or DOWNHILL SKIERS. On 20 November, HALLO BETTY will follow as another highlight that audiences are eagerly awaiting.

Ascot Elite Entertainment's films are also performing strongly in French-speaking Switzerland: KAAMELOTT - DEUXIEME VOLET - PARTIE 1, the sequel to the popular series, is proving a hit and has immediately jumped to the top of the box office charts.
