A Dangerous Game

A new interpretation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt's bestseller (THE PLEDGE) adapted to the present day, a hard-hitting thriller about the question of vigilante justice. A sales representative whose car breaks down while traveling in the Swiss Alps finds accommodation for the night in the home of young aspiring lawyers who are on their traditional hunting trip. The group of friends - a judge, a prosecutor and a defense attorney - invite him to join their annual “game” that they play over dinner. The “game” is a mock trial in which he is the defendant. During cross-examination, it emerges that he may have caused the death of his boss, who died of a heart attack after the affair with his wife was discovered. The public prosecutor then accuses him of premeditated murder. After a heated closing argument, he is convicted of murder.
